Eight years after closing its factory in Villasanta, Italy, Carrier has announced a return to the municipality with the construction of a $16m air conditioning and heating R&D Centre.

Toshiba Carrier Corporation consolidates its position in Europe and establishes a new manufacturing subsidiary in Gniezno, Poland. Toshiba Corporation and Carrier Corporation agreed on a joint venture on the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) market which will invest approximately 3.0 billion Japanese yen in this subsidiary to enhance its business foundation and presence in Europe. The new manufacturing subsidiary is scheduled to start its operation before the end of 2020.
